After starting as an attorney specialized in intellectual property already fifteen years ago, Sophie decided to broaden her career by getting her hands “dirty” and took up working in production of festivals and film. Always staying close to the legal side of things, her focus has now moved entirely back to the law. Although they always kept working together in some form, Sophie now has a dedicated position besides “the nightlife lawyer” (“advocaat van de nacht”) Bjorn Schipper, as legal counsel at the boutique law firm Plus One Legal specializing in entertainment law. In this role she often advises events, venues and artists on privacy issues as well.
