Piero Mantengoli, born in 1979 in Cesena, is an economist with a strong passion for music. He started his career as a DJ and event planner in Romagna's coastal clubs, where he also ventured into concert organization and promotion.

In 2013, Piero co-founded Retro Pop Live, a cultural association in Cesena, where he now serves as artistic director. His role focuses on organizing live music events in Romagna, and he also played a key part in creating the acieloaperto music festival. Now in its thirteenth edition, the festival brings both emerging and established artists to venues with historical and cultural significance.

During the 2020 pandemic, Piero helped launch Solido, a collaboration between three Emilia-Romagna festivals: acieloaperto, Ferrara Sotto le Stelle, and Arti Vive di Soliera. By 2023, Solido grew into a mini-festival offering showcases, talks, and live performances.

Piero’s work at Retro Pop Live is shaped by values like inclusivity, gender equality, digital culture, and a commitment to sustainability.
