BBC Introducing
With a passion for showcasing the best undiscovered and under the radar musicians from across the UK, Jess Iszatt is the host of Radio 1’s flagship BBC Introducing show. She also hosts Radio 1's Chillout Anthems, and remains the host of BBC Introducing London. Alongside this she also presents the 2-5pm weekday show on Magic Chilled. Jess prides herself as a tastemaker at the forefront of the new music scene in the UK and has strong links with AIM (the Association of Independent Music), presenting at their annual awards 4 years running. She has hosted at established dance events such as IMS in Ibiza and livestream coverage of Creamfields 2023 with Beatport, and will be back again at Creamfields 2024 with the Beatport team. She has worked with War Child on their Day Of The Girl project via panels and hosting live events, and has acted both as a judge and as the host of the Amex Gold Unsigned 2023 initiative and showcase. She is now a Youth Music ambassador after being on the judging panel for the past few years, and has hosted for the Mercury Awards for the past three years. She hosts The Record Club brought to you by Record Store Day, The Official Charts and Album Day UK (in association with Bowers & Wilkins) interviewing the biggest artists in the charts about their new record. Other presenting credits include Reading Festival’s YouTube and social channels content, Shorts on Tap which supports emerging London film makers and entertainment coverage for The Hook. As a live DJ, Jess plays sets in the UK and abroad for events and festivals including Snowbombing, Secret Garden Party, Glastonbury & Reading Festival, and will soon make her debut in Ibiza at the iconic Pikes. With strong sporting links she is in demand at the biggest fixtures of the season and has played at stadiums and venues from Lord’s Cricket Ground for The Hundred Cricket, The CopperBox for England Netball, to Wembley for the League 2 Finals as well as for the England Women’s Rugby Internationals in Exeter and Northampton, and more recently Twickenham for the Rugby Premiership final. Jess DJ’s regularly at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium on match days for the Women’s games, and often for the Men's fixtures.
